Bespoke Website Design

Holy Cross in Bury commissioned Hive to design and build two new websites. The centre wanted to uniquely revamp their college website. As well as revamping their university too. Holy Cross required a bespoke website design that also stood out from the crowd.

Holy Cross came to Hive with an outdated site that did not reflect the outstanding resources that the centre offers to their pupils. Their outdated website was difficult to navigate and also hard to find key information.

We put forward a number of design options. The designs were taken through focus groups where the routes were discussed.

With the feedback analysed, a route was chosen and refinements made. The new route for Holy Cross took on a very modern approach. The websites have been brought together as one with the use of a landing page functionality on the home page. The home page now animates upon choosing a section and has a defined colour scheme resulting in Holy Cross being easily recognised as an altogether centre.

A photography shoot was undertaken to ensure quality images were available to use. These images were used across both the college and university sections of the website. We also used this opportunity to update the centre’s video with new graphics that reflect the website’s design.

Built to a tight deadline, the site is fully responsive and fully updateable by the staff using Hive’s Content Management System.
