Oak Learning Partnership (Oak LP) approached Hive to create a solution which would streamline their entire job application process throughout the Trust, by taking the process online.

Innovative System

Our solution was to create a bespoke Vacancies Portal for the Trust. The innovative portal would allow administrators from across the Trust to not only post vacancies but also manage applications. Applicants can complete the entire application process through the online portal. Initially applicants can browse easily through all the open job vacancies across the Trust. Then by creating an account, applicants can create an application, save a draft of their progress and view their application at any point, then once completed it can be submitted online. This creates a paper-less process which is easy and efficient to manage and provides consistency and compliance, covering all legal requirements involved in the recruitment process.

The portal is designed to be easily extendable to grow with the Trust. So as new schools join the Trust these can be easily added to the portal.

The new portal is fully branded. Hive have ensured the design of the portal is consistent with their brand identity which we also created. The modern design is clean and aims to make the entire process simple and easy for both applications and administrators.

Time-saving

The portal is held on a sub-domain of the Trust website and linked from the main Trust website as well as each of the school websites within the Trust. This has created a central hub for all vacancy information. The Trust have been thrilled with the portal and the difference it has made for the central HR team. The Trust hope to move even more of their processes online in future, to streamline administration and free up more time so that school leaders are free to really focus on developing the quality of education in their schools.
